Depopulation
Depopulation is a growing problem in many countries worldwide. Why? Well, the global population, while growing for some countries, is shrinking for others. How could this be? Many countries are facing economic downturns, and that causes people to have less children. In fact, societies, when growing, had more children because they were on the brink of becoming more affluent. However, now we've all kind of have reached an equilibrium, where the striving to have a good family home with a picket fence are pretty much gone. This does not stop young people though as they graduate college and move to big cities for work, leaving their hometowns behind. In this day and age the rich get richer, while those in the "mainstream" think they're getting richer when they buy new things and have a bit more money, but in actuality, they're actually falling more and more behind.
